Andrew Brenton
Since 2007 Mr. Brenton has been the CEO of the Turtle Creek Group and, prior to that, was involved with Turtle Creek Investment Fund, as a trustee, from its formation in 1998. From 1997 to May 2007 Mr. Brenton was the founder and managing partner of the merchant banking subsidiary of a major Canadian chartered bank where he was responsible for managing, on a discretionary basis, a $300 million merchant banking portfolio of public and private investments. Prior to becoming a professional investor, from 1994 to 1997, Mr. Brenton was head of the high technology investment banking practice of the investment dealer of a major Canadian chartered bank and prior to that, he was a founding member and Managing Director in the firm's mergers and acquisitions practice. Mr. Brenton joined the investment dealer in 1984. Mr. Brenton also serves on the investment committee of The Walsingham Fund, a Canadian venture capital fund with close ties to the Turtle Creek Group. Mr. Brenton received his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business (University of Western Ontario) in 1984 and his B.Sc. from Mount Allison University in 1980.
Garth Davis
Since 2007 Mr. Davis has been a Managing Partner of Turtle Creek Private Equity with primary responsibility for executing transactions and the ongoing management of Turtle Creek Private Equity's portfolio investments. From 1998 to May 2007, Mr. Davis was a partner of the merchant banking subsidiary (the 'Merchant Bank') of a major Canadian chartered bank and was responsible for assisting in its management and investing activities. Prior to joining the Merchant Bank, Mr. Davis spent his professional career at a major Canadian chartered bank and its investment dealer. Mr. Davis initially joined the bank in 1993 in its Global Credit Risk Management group and, in 1995, joined the investment dealer's Loan Syndications group. Mr. Davis received a Master of Arts (International Economics) from the Paul H. Nitze School for Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University; a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science; and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University.
Todd Hryhorczuk
Since 2007 Mr. Hryhorczuk has been a Managing Partner of Turtle Creek Private Equity with primary responsibility for executing transactions and the ongoing management of Turtle Creek Private Equity's portfolio investments. From 1997 to May 2007, Mr. Hryhorczuk was a partner of the merchant banking subsidiary (the 'Merchant Bank') of a major Canadian chartered bank and was responsible for assisting in its management and investing activities. Prior to joining the Merchant Bank, he worked for the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board's merchant banking group from 1991 to 1997 where he was involved in making private equity investments in Canada and the United States. Mr. Hryhorczuk received a Master of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Glen Ampleford
Mr. Ampleford assists in the execution of transactions and the ongoing management of Turtle Creek Private Equity's portfolio investments. Prior to joining Turtle Creek Private Equity, he was with Cormark Securities Inc. where he assisted in the coverage of, and publication of institutional research for, small to mid-capitalization publicly traded equities. Mr. Ampleford received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Queen's School of Business, Queen's University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
