Andrew Brenton

Andrew is the CEO and co-founder of Turtle Creek.  Prior to Turtle Creek, he was the founder and CEO of Scotia Merchant Capital, the private equity subsidiary of The Bank of Nova Scotia, where he was responsible for investing $300 million in committed capital in North American private companies.  Before founding Scotia Merchant Capital, Andrew was Head of the high technology investment banking practice of Scotia Capital and prior to that, he was a founding member and Managing Director in the firm's mergers and acquisitions practice.  Andrew joined Scotia Capital's predecessor, McLeod Young Weir, in 1984.  Andrew received an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business (University of Western Ontario) in 1984 and a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Allison University in 1980.
