For us risk is not short term price volatility but rather the chance of permanently losing money. At Turtle Creek our investment process is designed to manage risk.
- We choose to invest in good companies – sound businesses that drive their intrinsic value higher over time
- Our background and approach allows us to have a superior understanding of a company’s intrinsic value
- We have a constant “price to value” discipline wherein we reduce each holding as its price rises and increase the holding as its price falls
- We understand and explicitly consider the financial leverage of our companies.
- We are diversified over approximately 25 companies in largely unrelated industries.
